Michael Jackson's Siblings And Fans Celebrate His 62nd Birthday

Michael Jackson's family and fans shared sweet tributes for the late king of pop on his birthday.

On Saturday, Jackson would have celebrated his 62nd birthday. It has been 11 years since the late singer passed away, but he remains alive in the heart of the people who love and remember him.

Janet Jackson, 54, marked her late older brother's birthday with a short but sweet message on Instagram, posting, "I miss u big bro."

Michael's other sister, LaToya Jackson, shared a throwback photo of the "Billie Jean" singer wearing a beige turtleneck that appeared to be taken at a beach. She accompanied the snap with a short but moving message.

"A Big Happy Birthday To The Greatest Entertainer Of All Times," she wrote, adding the hashtags "MJ4EVER," "RIPMJ" and "Sending Love And Light," among others.

Tito Jackson, meanwhile, shared a throwback photo of the Jackson brothers on Instagram. In the picture, Michael is front and center, holding colorful balloons.

"Happy birthday, MJ!" he wrote in the caption.

Jermaine Jackson took to Facebook to share a birthday greeting for his younger brother, writing, "Happy birthday, MJ! Long live the Legacy of the King."

Michael's fans also penned sweet messages for him on Twitter on his birthday.

"Happy birthday to forever star of pop Michael Jackson the great!! Blessed with a heart that always love kids.... always ur big fan #HappyBirthdayMichaelJackson #MichaelJacksonDay u lived forever,'" one fan wrote.

"I miss him so much. Happy birthday Michael," another posted, along with a photo of Jackson wearing his iconic white glove.

"Happy Birthday Michael Jackson! You were major inspo for me," a third fan wrote.

"Happy 62nd Birthday to Michael Jackson in Heaven!!!! The Greatest Entertainer ever! He was so nice and sweet! He was an amazing singer and a great actor! A true musical legend, an icon and a wonderful person! He will be missed! May God always bless him in Heaven!" another fan said.

Michael was found in a coma on June 25, 2009 in his mansion in Los Angeles. He was immediately rushed to the hospital with an oxygen mask over his face. A team of doctors, including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate the singer for over an hour, but they were not successful.

Jackson died at the age of 50 because of a fatal combination of drugs in his system, most notably an excessive amount of the surgical anesthetic propofol given to him by his personal doctor.
