Is Michael Kors High-End? Twitter Debates Brand’s Status
Some women may happily sport Michael Kors branded merchandise while others won’t, but now, some are debating whether or not the designer can qualify as high-end or luxury when it comes at a slightly more affordable price tag than other comparable brands.
The debate appeared to ensue as women began posting photos of Michael Kors products—specifically bags—to social media, which led to a critique from one woman who said that those who felt they were spoiled after getting their new bags actually weren’t because the bags weren’t what others may believe they are when it comes to the designs being higher-end.
Someone posted a MK purse for Christmas talking about shes spoiled. 1st of all MK been played out and thats not being spoiled 😩😩😩

However, some quickly took offense to the idea that Michael Kors wasn’t high-end, noting that the brand’s namesake owns the luxury brand Versace—and also wondering if popularity for the brand among Black people played in role in the negative opinions.
If yall think Michael Kors is played out then you don't know much about fashion he literally owns Versace and his high fashion line stays on the red carpets not to be too woke but we need to have a discussion about how things magically lack value once black people start liking it

Bruh if you Like Michael Kors then that’s that, who cares what other people think. People wear Versace and brag on that, crazy thing is Michael KORS bought Versace for 2.1 Billion. People deemed Michael Kors cheap when black people start rocking it, but let me hush

There was also criticism that there was such negativity over the Kors brand when there were others that were considered lower quality which had more popularity.
yall will buy fake gucci but real michael kors is where you draw the line?

Others found it ironic that there was so much concern over the issue when bigger problems were looming in the United States.
Some simply revealed that it didn’t bother them what other people thought of the brand because they were going to continue wearing and using whatever products they liked—regardless of the brand name attached to it.
Coach still has cute stuff, Michael Kors to, Kate Spade as well, so is Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Aldo to. Y’all let the internet get to y’all’s heads on what’s hot and what’s not. If I like it, I’m wearing it. Who cares what folks think.
