Michigan Man Shoots And Kills 2-Year-Old Girl Sitting On Porch

A 2-year-old girl was killed and 12-year-old girl injured on Tuesday evening after a 30-year-old man opened fire on the children as they sat on a porch, reports the Detroit Free Press.

According to State Police Lt. Michael Shaw, the man walked up to the porch at 8:30 p.m. and fired several shots. He then ran from the scene of the shooting. A 30-year-old man was also on the porch with the children and was injured.

The toddler died at the scene, and the 12-year-old was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg. The 30-year-old man was shot in the stomach and was receiving treatment.

Shaw says police are still searching for the suspect, and they believe that someone knows who he is. WXYZ reports that police believe the suspect fled the scene in a white Hyundai.
