‘The Mick’ Season 2, Episode 4: Mickey, Jimmy Throw A Halloween Party
Halloween comes early on “The Mick.”
According to the synopsis for Season 2, episode 4 of the Fox series, Mickey (Kaitlin Olson) and Jimmy (Scott MacArthur) throw a Halloween party in their spooky, charred mansion. Sabrina (Sofia Black-D’Elia) hopes to use the house party to cement her tarnished legacy, but things don’t go as planned.
For instance, in a promotional image for the episode, Sabrina is seemingly embarrassed when she gets showered with what appears to be fake blood in front of their guests.
Meanwhile, another promo photo shows Ben (Jack Stanton) puking under a table after apparently eating too many Halloween treats.
Elsewhere in the episode, Mickey teaches some pranksters a lesson. At the end of the trailer for the episode, three male teenagers throw eggs at Mickey. Interestingly, Mickey — who is posing as a police officer for Halloween — manages to get the boys inside a real police car where she scolds them.
“That wasn’t fun,” Mickey tells the pranksters. “Halloween is all about tricks and treats, not assaulting people with unborn chickens.”
Also, after appearing in Season 2, episode 3, Tricia O’Kelley and Lard MacIntosh are again reprising their roles as Poodle and Christopher next episode. But because both characters are still locked up in prison, it’s unclear how exactly they will be involved in the upcoming installment.
Last episode, Mickey took Sabrina to visit Poodle in prison. The visit was particularly therapeutic for Sabrina as she’d finally received a long overdue apology from her mom. “Sabrina, I am so, so sorry,” Poodle told Sabrina in the episode. “Yeah, I broke the law. But what I did even worse? I broke our family. I lied to you. I abandoned you. I failed you in every possible way as a mother. And I don’t expect you to forgive me because I don’t think that I’ll ever forgive myself for the pain that I’ve caused you and Chip (Thomas Barbusca) and Ben, even Alba (Carla Jimenez).”
Chip also visited Christopher in jail last episode. Christopher used the reunion to tell Chip that he’s not his real father, but Chip just shrugged it off and thought that Christopher was not being himself because of what he’s going through behind bars.
Since Chip still thinks that he’s a full-bloodied Pemberton, fans can expect to see more of Poodle and Christopher in future episodes of the season.
“The Mick” Season 2, episode 4, titled “The Haunted House,” airs on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
