Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Rumored To Be Compatible With Surface Pen To Take On Samsung Galaxy Note 5
The newly unveiled Microsoft Lumia 950 XL could be compatible with the Surface Pen, according to a new report from Kuwait.
Microsoft recently launched an impressive lineup of devices, including the Lumia 950 and the jumbo sibling Lumia 950 XL with Windows 10 on board, but these handsets have not hit the store shelves yet. The Lumia 950 release date is expected to be sometime in November.
In hindsight, the rumors and leaks surrounding the Lumia handsets were sky high in the run up to the launch. Even during the launch, Microsoft did not say if the devices are compatible with the new and improved Surface Pen, which is an excellent addition to the recently launched 2-in-1 tablet Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Needless to say, the Surface Pen compatibility could be an added advantage for any productivity based work. By giving the stylus support, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will also be able to give strong competition to the ubiquitous Samsung Galaxy Note series of phablet, which made the stylus and smartphone combination sound cool.
The recently released Galaxy Note 5, in specific, comes with Samsung's advanced S Pen stylus. According to Phone Arena, the S Pen has improved to the level that it is now totally integrated with the software, in addition to being "accurate and sensitive."
Here, readers can check out the trail of conversation between a curious Lumia fan and the Microsoft employee Nawzil, hinting at the possibility. In any case, readers should note that Microsoft has not confirmed the Surface Pen compatibility with the Lumia 950 XL so far.
