- Sale includes "Dragon Ball Z" and "Naruto" along with other popular titles
- Microsoft's physical retail stores are closing down due to coronavirus
Microsoft just announced its Anime Month Sale amid store troubles caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Subscribers and interested buyers can save up to 70% on various anime films and TV shows, including “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball Super.”
The sale will go on all month and covers popular anime and TV shows that can be watched on the Xbox One or PC. For at least $40 spent on anime titles included in the sale, the buyer will be eligible for 4,000 MS Rewards points. With the sale, buyers have the opportunity to rack up MS points that can be used on other items available in the developer’s store.
The sale couldn’t have come at a better time. According to Gadget Guy, the OS giant decided to close down all 83 of its retail stores globally. The reason behind this was that Microsoft decided to take most of its transactions online, on its Microsoft Store digital platform.
Microsoft Corporate Vice President David Porter said the company has been preparing for the digital move by training its partners to do most of the work online. Customers are also encouraged to do their transactions digitally, as the physical stores remain closed. Microsoft also said that it will "reimagine" new places to serve their customers, especially in this unprecedented time.
As for Microsoft’s digital sale, all seasons of “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball Super” are available. The latter will have both English and Japanese Audio included in the bundle. Buyers who purchased the first season of “Z” and “Super” received the second season for free.
Anime titles included in the sale are “A Silent Voice,” “Penguin Highway” and Naruto movies “Road to Ninja” and “Naruto Shippuden: The Movie.” Anime TV series “Death Note: The Complete Series,” “Inuyasha,” “Sailor Moon” and “Bleach” are also part of the sale list.
