Microsoft Surface Earbuds' Strong Features And Office Integration Make It A Top Choice
Microsoft has started to get more serious about the hardware business. At its recent Microsoft Surface Event in New York City, the software giant has launched announced a number of innovative products, aimed at rival companies like the Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple. This pair of wireless earbuds is the company’s answer to Apple AirPods, and it's coming strong.
Under the leadership of the Indian-born CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft has successfully completed its transformation into a new company. The company's reinvention has brought many innovative things like the renaissance of its once-declined mobile business, the buildup of its cloud computing muscles and, more recently, the launch of the much-anticipated Microsoft Surface Earbuds.
The new hardware is aimed squarely at offering Apple users a good alternative, with some additional features. The launch is the first big step in the company’s bid to challenge Apple’s hegemony in the wireless earbud market.
This is not the first time the software company has launched a new earbud product. Last year, the software firm released a pair of Surface noise-canceling headphones. Unfortunately, the product hasn’t caught much attention in the tech market.
This year, Microsoft is throwing again its huge tech muscles, announcing a truly wireless experience, the cord-free Surface Earbuds. The software company has released some demos, showing to the media how its new Earbuds works. It touted its new wireless product’s comfortable fit, tap-and-swipe controls that will allow users to access apps like Spotify without touching their phones (for Android-based devices). Users can select, play, and skip songs, all with simple gestures.
The new earbuds provide a simple and true wireless experience. Users can simply pop the device in their ears and they are instantly connected to their mobile device. Touch sensors on each earbud provide users instant access to their digital life. Along with the device’s unique design, the Surface Earbuds brings a 24-hour battery life, providing the user 24-hour coverage of their digital life. The device also brings translation capabilities, with support for up to 60 languages.
The Surface Earbuds feature integration with the company’s flagship productivity software, Microsoft Office software. This makes this new product a top choice for business-oriented, remote workers and tech professionals. In addition to that, the new earbuds also boast special drivers that are designed to deliver exceptional voice recognition and call quality, according to Microsoft.
As for the competition, the new Surface Earbuds could offer a strong competition to Apple AirPods. Its a kind of product that Apple should take more seriously. It might not be life-threatening, but it could hurt Apple's wireless business.
Unfortunately, this new earbud comes at a hefty price tag of $249, which makes it a premium device. Microsoft will be released its new Surface Earbuds, just in time for the Christmas holiday.
