Midas: World's largest luxury champagne bottle
Luxury brand Armand de Brignac, produced by champagne house Champagne Cattier, has unveiled the largest bottle of luxury Champagne in existence called the Midas.
Identifiable by the dramatic Ace of Spades insignias on its bottle, Armand de Brignac boasts three prestige cuvees - Brut Gold, Rose and Blanc de Blancs.
The champagne bottle pays tribute to the mythological Greek king Midas, who had the ability to turn everything he touched to gold.
Our Champagne is produced from grape to glass through traditional hand labor-intensive methods. It is aged in a gated section of the cellars considered one of the deepest in Champagne, said the family patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier.
Each metallic bottle is crafted entirely by hand inspired by the famous fashion designer Andre Courreges. Two Ace of Spades insignias and four hand-applied pewter labels mark each bottle housed in a black wooden case embossed with the Champagne's royal crest.
The boxes are lined in velvet and fitted with an engraved nameplate to complement the Armand de Brignac Champagne within.
The first Midas bottle of Armand de Brignac was sold for $100,000 at the famous nightclub XS in Las Vegas' Encore casino - part of Steve Wynn's Wynn Hotels group.
