‘Midnight, Texas’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 5 Synopsis, Trailer Released
A huge secret from Manfred’s (François Arnaud) past will be revealed in next week’s episode of “Midnight, Texas.”
According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 5 of the NBC supernatural drama, Manfred’s con artist past catches up with him when Hightower (Christopher Heyerdahl) finds him in Midnight.
Although Hightower has yet to make his first appearance next episode, the mystery character has actually been mentioned several times since the series premiere. It was revealed in Season 1, episode 1 that Manfred moved from Dallas to Midnight to hide from Hightower. But what remains unclear is what Hightower exactly wants from Manfred.
“If you do what you said you’ll do, I’ll let you live,” Hightower cryptically tells Manfred in the trailer for the episode.
After learning about Hightower’s arrival, Manfred considers leaving Midnight in order to keep Creek (Sarah Ramos) and the rest of Midnighters safe. “You don’t need to run,” Creek tells him.
“I don’t want you to get hurt,” he replies.
The episode summary reveals that Olivia (Arielle Kebbel) agrees to help Manfred deal with Hightower, but when she and Creek learn the surprising truth about what Manfred is running from, they realize that Manfred is not the man Creek thought he was. Will this secret from Manfred’s past put an end to his growing relationship with Creek? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Bobo’s (Dylan Bruce) budding romance with Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) is going to take a surprising turn that puts her in danger next episode.
At the end of Season 1, episode 4, Bobo paid Fiji a visit to express how grateful he is to have her in his life. “No matter what you’ll always there for me,” the pawnshop owner told Fiji.
“Of course I am, Bobo. You’re my best friend,” the witch replied.
“Is that it? Is that all you want this to be?” Bobo asked as he walked closer to Fiji. “Because sometimes I think my life has been better since you’ve been in it.”
Shortly thereafter, the two finally let go of their inhibitions and went for a kiss. But now that the Sons of Lucifer knows that Fiji is important to Bobo, it won’t be surprising if the dangerous biker group use her to seek revenge on him.
“Midnight, Texas” Season 1, episode 5, titled “Unearthed,” airs on Monday, Aug. 21, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
