Mike Tindall just revealed how his daughter, Mia, stole the limelight at Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding.

The 4-year-old was photographed holding a squidgy toy in the wedding portrait of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, which was taken on Oct. 12 in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle.

Two weeks later, Mike spoke with Daily Mail and shared the story behind his daughter’s toy.

“She wanted to go down the aisle with it, but I took it off her and put it in my pocket. I said to her, ‘I’ll give it back to you after.’ I didn’t even think about the pictures,” he said (via Express).

The toy was included in the entertainment pack that was given to the pageboys and bridesmaids to keep them preoccupied during the entire day. It is believed to have come from KeepEmQuiet.com, a company selling activity packs for children.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s official portraits were taken by Alex Bramall.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Mike’s daughter made headlines during a royal event. Two years ago, she was photographed holding Queen Elizabeth II’s handbag and raising it up as though it was hers while at the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration.

In related news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding photographer also came up with a trick to keep the couple’s pageboys and bridesmaids preoccupied on May 19. Alex Lubomirksi said that he gave the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s pageboys and bridesmaids sweets.

“So as soon as the kids came onto the set, I immediately just shouted out, ‘Wh likes Smarties?’ and then everybody hands up, smiles, even some of the adults I think put their hands up. And so that was our magic word of the day, so thank you, Smarties,” he said.

Both Prince Harry and Markle, and Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
