Mike Tyson: “Stuff Happens,” Like Impregnating A Prison Official
Mike Tyson has had a pretty colorful past. In 1986, he became the youngest heavyweight champion of the world at 20. In 1992, he was convicted and jailed for raping an Indiana beauty queen, and he is now just sharing that during that same year, he also impregnated a woman ... behind bars. That woman turned out to be a prison official with whom he had sex while in jail for a rape conviction.
Tyson didn't reveal this startling information during his one-man tell-all Las Vegas show entitled, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth. The boxer decided to share this little gem of information during a television interview.
When asked about his prison activities, Tyson didn't say anything that someone would normally expect, like reading and weightlifting. According to the Daily Caller, Tyson told ESPN's Rick Reilly that during his Vegas show, I didn't talk about getting a prison official pregnant. Tyson went on to say, Oh yeah. In prison stuff happens, but she had no baby.
She had no baby, has many speculating about whether the prison official had a miscarriage or an abortion. Tyson did not clear up what he meant by the phrase.
The incident occurred when he was convicted of the 1992 raping of 18-year-old beauty queen Desiree Washington, the Daily Mail reported. Tyson had been sentenced to six years in jail and four years of probation, but he was released after three years. According to the Daily Mail, the boxer served his jail time at the Indiana Youth Center, which later became the North Plainfield Correctional Facility.
Besides discussing his prison experience, Tyson also told ESPN about his former substance abuse issues. I just liked morphine, but I had to take a lot of it because it didn't stay in your system for a long time, said Tyson.
Mike Tyson is now 45-years-old and has eight children. He's been recently making a comeback, appearing in the hit comedy The Hangover, and its sequel, The Hangover 2.
