Miley Cyrus has reportedly adopted a new pet pig after her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. The singer is currently recovering from a surgery, and she also had to deal with the death of one of her pets earlier this year.

Singer and songwriter H.E.R. told Us Weekly at the BET Soul Train Music Awards that Cyrus has adopted a new pet pig. She has apparently named her new pet Peppa, after the British animation series character Peppa Pig.

“ The last time we talked, she was telling me about her pig that she owns now,” H.E.R. said about Cyrus. She added that this was the “most interesting thing” she heard from the “Slide Away” singer.

2019 has been a challenging year for Cyrus. After the divorce from Hemsworth, one of her pets died in July this year. The singer had named the deceased pet as Pig Pig, and she even shared an Instagram picture of her with her pet, US Weekly reported.

In her social media post, Cyrus announced that her pet had passed away, and that she was “very sad” about it. “ I will miss u always. Thank you for so many laughs and good times girl,” she wrote in the post.

Cyrus has spoken about her pets in various interviews. Pig Pig used to sleep on the couch “like a bad boyfriend,” she previously said. The pet would eat what she eats, and this led to the angry vet making her put her pet on a diet. Pig Pig didn’t like to be held or cuddled, but it used to participate in nail polish sessions with the singer.

Earlier this month, Cyrus underwent a vocal cord surgery after her tonsillitis procedure last month, Vanity Fair reported. The singer is said to be recovering well, but she isn’t allowed to say much during the recovery.
