Miley Cyrus Defends Raunchy Behavior Saying She is 'Exploring Sexuality'

It was reported that the Miley Cyrus was seen dancing seductively for her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. The New York Post claims that on Sept. 7, Cyrus, Hemsworth, and her mother Tish, were at a launch party in Chicago. Liam was sitting down while Miley was dancing playfully and seductively, a witness claims. Nothing too over the top, though, as she was under the watchful eye of her mom. There was a very relaxed, good energy.

Miley Cyrus has been recently interviewed with Asia's Prestige magazine. In it, she was able to clarify her misunderstood public image since leaving her Disney image behind and her recent pile up of raunchy and less than commendable behavior.

People have very mixed opinions on me, Cyrus says. I'm a great model, or I'm completely inappropriate for anyone under 13 and I'm very controversial. I don't know how I became this.

I'm not some crazy lady who's gone off the deep end, because I definitely haven't, Cyrus explains. Every 18-year-old explores sexuality and experiments and tries things. For me there's no reason to change that.

The Can't Be Tamed singer explains that she read in a magazine article that she is considered a good girl gone bad, and was very disappointed. I was like, 'What the hell, man?' I stay in the house pretty much every day. I don't go out, she tells Prestige. I've had the same boyfriend [Liam Hemsworth] for two years.

Cyrus first came into the lime light with Disney Channel's Hannah Montana series. During the series she released several albums including Breakout, that established her a successful musician among her young audience.

The southern belle was charming, funny, and sassy as she acted alongside her real life father, Billy Ray, on the hit show. Since the shows ending, Miley Cyrus has been transitioning into a new and more mature image. However, some wonder whether her method of achieving this is the right one.

Miley Cyrus has taken to performing in racy clothing even pole danced on stage once. The Can't Be Tamed singer has also been inked nine times, photographed smoking cigarettes, and captured on video smoking salvia. She is also infamous for personal risque photographs that have been leaked on the Internet.

Few entertainers can transition, and Ron Howard did, from lovable child actor in 'The Andy Griffith Show' to memorable adult actor in 'Happy Days' and 'American Graffiti,' to award-winning director of 'Apollo 13,' Jason Maloni, crisis communication expert at Levick Strategic Communications said to FOX411's Pop Tarts column.

Miley Cyrus should aspire to be on that level and the first step is hard work. Unfortunately, it seems she isn't far from the path many young adults follow: exploring adulthood; testing the boundaries around them; and flirting with danger through reckless behavior.

The world is tired of Cyrus forcing this new image of herself through naughty antics. Her box office and album sales prove there has been a dip in her fan base.

I believe for the young fans who have grown up with her, while she is trying to assert her independence, she is alienating this one-time target audience, Michelle Groover, Public Relations Professor at Georgia Southern University, said. With 'Hannah Montana' still airing on ABC Saturday mornings, her fans are confused by what they see on the program with what they see on an entertainment website, a magazine they see and/or hear their parents discuss. Many of her fans are too young to understand the difference between the actress as a real person and the role she plays on the show.

Although, Miley's public image is spoiling more and more with young fans and parents, there is still hope for her career as an adult actress/singer. The road ahead for Miley is to master her craft. Whether her future lay in music or acting, she needs to be studying at the feet of the best producers and directors there are, and also, watching the older artists and performers around her to learn from their mistakes as well as their successes, Maloni said.

We certainly hope Miley reroutes her method in acheiving respect and adulthood as a former-child star. Hopefully, she will find exactly what image suits her without disappointing her fans. At this point, Miley could be a flame, or flame out , he added
