Miley Cyrus performed at the iHeartRadio festival, and she got a chance to hang out with the rock band Def Leppard backstage. The “Slide Away” singer shared glimpses of her performance on social media, and wrote that she is “honored” to be the only woman to hang out with the popular rock stars.

Cyrus apparently has been a fan of Def Leppard from the time she was in school. The singer wrote on her Instagram page that her mom used to make her listen to the rock band when they were on their way to cheerleading practice, and she is glad that her mom did it.

“Taught me what kicking a-s really means!” Cyrus wrote about Def Leppard songs.

“Feeling honored to be Fem out here rockin w the big dudes,” she added.

In the video that Cyrus shared online, she can be seen with her mom, singing along with the others in the audience. She later got to perform on stage too, and she wrote that she is “stoked” to have shared the same stage as the “legends” Def Leppard.

Cyrus got to hang out with the members of the rock band backstage. She shared a picture of her with the rock stars online. She confirmed that she has spoken to Def Leppard about doing some shows together, and she is excited about it.

The love and respect appears to be mutual. During their performance, Def Leppard dedicated a song to Cyrus. The band sang the hit song “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” while the “Slide Away” singer sang along in the audience.

As far as Cyrus’ performance is concerned, she sang classic songs like Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” She shared a clip of her performance on Instagram and wrote that performing these songs was the reason why she started making music. She explained that it is important for the younger generation to listen to these classics to understand how music evolved to what it is now.
