Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Officially Split: Have They Both Moved On Already?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are officially over, People.com reported Monday. The two have had a tumultuous relationship for months, and on Monday reps for the “Wrecking Ball” singer and “Hunger Games” star both said the young Hollywood lovers had ended their engagement.
The breakup comes on the heels of Cyrus’ rise to celebrity with her new album “Bangerz,” her much-criticized performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and the 20-year-old unfollowing her now-ex-fiancé on Twitter.
Hemsworth, 23, was rumored to be sexting “Mad Men” actress January Jones and was photographed with another woman over the weekend when he went to Las Vegas to watch the Floyd Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez fight.
The former lovers met on the movie set of 2010’s “The Last Song” and got engaged in May 2012. Back then, the singer told People.com: "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam." But it wasn’t long before the couple chose to suspend their wedding, and most recently Cyrus had been quoted as saying she was too busy to worry about a wedding.
Representatives for the couple did not add anything further other than they were no longer together.
Cyrus has already been rumored to be with Atlanta-based music producer Mike WiLL Made It, who worked with her on her upcoming album, Wet Paint wrote. The two also worked with Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa for the song “23,” but there have been several pictures that show the two business partners getting close.
Hemsworth, on the other hand, was photographed with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, also 23, on Saturday night and he didn’t seem too worried about Cyrus unfollowing him on Twitter. The Daily Mail wrote the two stayed by each other’s side the entire night and reportedly flirted together. The duo reportedly left VIP club Bungalow at 2 a.m.
