Miley Cyrus-Liam Hemsworth Wedding: Couple Reportedly Asking Fans To Forego Gifts
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back on and have jumped right into wedding planning. The couple has reportedly made some important decisions about their nuptials — some of which may shock fans.
According to Us Weekly, Cyrus and Hemsworth have decided to have a “small” wedding. Sources told the publication that planning “is going great,” though few details were revealed about their wedding. The “Wrecking Ball” singer and her fiancé have reportedly decided that they don’t want guests to bring gifts to the wedding. Instead, insiders say they’ve asked that those in attendance make a donation to a charity. Cyrus, 23, and Hemsworth will pick the organization to which those invited to watch them say their “I Dos” will donate.
“Miley and Liam do not want gifts,” a source told Us.
News that the couple is planning their wedding comes amid reports that they’d strolled down the aisle in secret. Stories began circulating after the Teen Choice Award winner was spotted out sporting a new ring on that finger. On July 25, Cyrus posted a photo of herself and a friend soaking up the sun by a pool. Rather than the engagement ring she’s had since 2012 — which she took off during her and Hemsworth’s lengthy split in 2013— the animal lover can be seen sporting what many fans believed was a wedding band. As was previously reported, she was seen wearing the ring once more during a lunch date with Hemsworth, 26, at Nobu in Malibu, California.
Cyrus and Hemsworth rekindled their romance in January. The couple spent the New Year in Australia, where Hemsworth and his family are from. At the time, sources told People the couple “wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.” They were said to be working things out, though it was not clear where their relationship was headed. While it has been rather obvious from their public outings that Cyrus and Hemsworth were a couple again, it was not until July that the “Hunger Games” actor made it Instagram official.
The pair began their relationship years ago, after meeting on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009. They have broken up and gotten back together several times over the years, but it seems that this time they intend to see the relationship through to the end.
