Middleweight contender Julian Marquez turned his Saturday evening to a night to remember when he walked out of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with the victory.

The man known as the "Cuban Missle Crisis" kicked off the UFC 258 pay-per-view card in spectacular fashion, coming back from two rounds down to choke out Maki Pitolo with an anaconda choke in the final minute of the last round.

The submission earned him Performance of the Night honors in his first fight since July 2018.

The win gave Marquez his eighth win in ten professional matches. During the post-fight interview, the Kansas City-native issued quite an interesting call-out.

“I’ve been waiting 31 months to get on this damn mic and to call these people out right now," Marquez said in a WWE-style promo. "It’s my time to shine, so Miley Cyrus, will you be my Valentine?”

During the post-fight press conference, Marquez--who walked out to the cage to Miley Cyrus’ “Heart of Glass” cover--further explained his infatuation for the singer-actress.

“What’s not to be interested in her? I mean, think about it: I’m 30 years old, I grew up watching Hannah Montana [and listening to] Party In The USA, we’re sitting here and loving it,” Marquez stated.

“I’ve been to her concert many times, she came out in Wrecking Ball. I actually walked out to that," he added. "Every time I walk out to Miley, she does something to me to figure out a way to win, she’s just, she’s my love. I love that woman."

Marquez’ post-fight invitation actually made its way to Cyrus herself, and she responded accordingly.

“Shave an MC into your chest hair, and I am yours. Happy [Valentine's] and congrats my love,” Cyrus wrote in a tweet.

Marquez had an interesting counter offer of his own.

“If you get a henna tattoo that says ‘Cuban Missle Crisis’ above your belly button like 2pac I’m in [Thug Life],” Marquez replied.

Marquez likely won’t be getting his Valentine’s Day wish after that henna tattoo proposal, but at least he got a response from Cyrus herself.
