Miley Cyrus' risqué outfit at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday left little to the imagination.

Miley Cyrus hit the red carpet at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena wearing an ivory double-breasted Jean Paul Gaultier jacket, open at the chest, without any pants. Cyrus complemented her mirco-mini ensemble with black-and-white striped Christian Louboutin open-toe ankle-strap heels and Jacquie Aiche jewels. She layered four necklaces around her neck and little else, revealing a bare chest underneath.

The 19-year-old former Disney star amped up the sexy-factor with smoky eye makeup, glossy pink lips and tousled, bouffant hair.

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards was no coming-out party for Miley Cyrus. The teenager has exhibited risqué behavior in the past. She addressed her sexy image during an interview on Lifetime's The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet.

If people find that [I am a sex symbol], I take it as a compliment, Cyrus said. Thank you for thinking I'm sexy!

In March, Miley Cyrus stepped out in a very skimpy Emilio Pucci outfit at the premiere of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth's film, The Hunger Games. The singer/actress wore a low-cut, belly-bearing bustier top with a flowing maxi skirt. E! News blasted the 19-year-old for her outfit choice, calling it skimpy and some critics on Twitter agreed. The Huffington Post noted the major skin Cyrus showed off.

In January, the teen starlet was photographed suggestively licking a penis-shaped birthday cake at her Hemsworth's birthday party. Guests at the party said she had been drinking copious amounts of alcohol and partying hard throughout Liam's birthday celebration. The former Disney star is still two years under the legal drinking age.

Cyrus' outfits might leave little to the imagination, but she backs it up with frank and self-assured opinions.

She addressed critics of her naughty behavior during the Lifetime interview, saying, People are so scared of seeing a woman being like, 'This is who I am and you're not going to change it.'

She even spoke candidly to Cadenet about her views on sex and female empowerment.

Girls that really base what they're worth on the sexual favors that they can do for somebody... that makes me really sad, because sex actually is really beautiful, said Cyrus.

It's ignorant to not talk to your kids about it or to (not) make it seem as magical and cool as it actually is. They (teenagers) have a TV; they know what sex is... Educate them. Let them know that they wouldn't be here without it. It is a beautiful thing and it is magic and it is when you connect with somebody - and it isn't how much you're worth, she added.

Despite the fact that she started out as a Disney child star in the show Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus is on her way to becoming a grown woman.

I just got so set in the way of saying the same things I did when I was 12 years old. . . I guess I kind of realized that my whole life isn't one giant press junket. I don't have to be smiling all the time and always have the perfect answer.
