'Million Dollar Listing' Star Matt Altman Speaks Out After Wife's Arrest Over Domestic Violence

"Million Dollar Listing" star Matt Altman has spoken out after his wife Johanna was arrested and charged with domestic violence on Aug. 4.

In a statement to ET, Matt admitted they're going through a tough time but are now back on their feet.

"Since losing a father unexpectedly from COVID, I can't explain the pain my wife has been dealing with," Matt told ET. "Of course, we are going to go through a tough time when something like that happens. We appreciate everyone's concern, it's all good."

"Now back to normal life with three kids lol. Never a dull moment!" Matt added.

In a separate statement to People, Matt opened up about how the recent death of Johanna's father due to COVID-19 has impacted her life.

"Anyone who's lost a father understands how you feel like your life has fallen apart, especially to COVID when it's unexpected. The grieving process is a difficult one and doesn't just happen overnight," he said.

Despite Johanna's arrest, Matt said they're doing good as a family. "We're all good. We appreciate everybody being concerned but nothing to worry about," he told the outlet.

Matt's statements came a day after the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Johanna had been arrested and charged with felony domestic violence on Aug. 4. She was booked into Valley Jail in Van Nuys, California and was released around 4:30 a.m. the next day after posting a $50,000 bond.

In an Instagram post soon after news about her arrest surfaced, Johanna suggested her marriage to Matt remains strong despite the ordeal. "Ups and downs ain't gonna stop anything. Love you so much," she wrote.

Matt also took to Instagram Thursday to share a photo of him spending time with their twins, London and Ashton. "Fun kids time today with the little munchkins," he wrote. A second photo shows Joanna holding their daughter. "My two favorite girls heading to first ballet class. So frigging cute!" she wrote.

Matt and Johanna celebrated their 5^th anniversary on Aug. 12, with Matt commemorating the special occasion with a lovely throwback photo from their wedding ceremony.

"Happy 5^th Anniversary @johanna_altman couldn't imagine sharing life with anyone else. 5 years, 4 house moves, 3 incredible kids, 2 people sharing 1 heart," he captioned his post.
