‘A Million Little Things’ Officially Renewed For Season 3, What To Expect In New Episodes

Fans of “A Million Little Things” can officially breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to the show’s future, as the series was officially picked up by ABC for a third season.

The announcement came as the network revealed they were renewing an additional 13 shows, making for a schedule of 22 total shows. While the show, which did see a dip in ratings in Season 2 was considered to be a guaranteed renewal, the news is good for fans who were still waiting to learn what exactly ABC was thinking when it came to the show’s future.

So what can fans expect in regards to new episodes? Here’s everything we know so far.

Premiere Date

Unfortunately, while the show has been renewed, a potential premiere date will remain up in the air for a while, as it will with all other shows. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, sets still remain shut down around the country, keeping shows from filming new episodes. While “AMLT,” which aired the Season 2 finale on March 26, wasn’t initially affected by shutdowns because it had already wrapped filming, it remains unclear when shows can resume their production schedules. If there is a delay in filming new episodes, that does mean the show may start Season 3 at a later date than usual.

Eddie’s Fate

Of course, whenever the episodes pick up again, fans will likely get the answers they seek about the events that unfolded in the Season 2 finale. The biggest question? What happened to Eddie (David Giuntoli) after he was hit by a car?

After the Season 2 finale, creator DJ Nash teased what his fate could be, revealing that the aftermath of that accident was going to have a significant impact on his wife, Katherine (Grace Park) and son, Theo (Tristan Byon).

“He was hit by the car, and, what I’ve said about this is, I’m not confirming whether he’s dead or alive. I will say that Katherine and Theo’s life will never be the same,” he said at the time.

Rome And Regina

The other big moment in the finale saw Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) realize their parenthood dreams had fallen through when their planned adoption fell apart. Will they survive following this, especially after Regina was so adamant about not becoming a mom for so long?

“I want us to watch this challenge that’s put, this test, because, with her being a survivor of child sexual assault, and with Rome dealing with his depression and his suicide attempt, those issues brought them together,” Nash said. “This is the first thing they’ve had to endure that threatens to pull them apart.”
