Milly Alcock Goes Viral For Golden Globes Antics; Actress Seemingly Confirms Drunk State

Milly Alcock went viral for her seemingly drunken state at the 2023 Golden Globes ceremony Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old actress surprised viewers with her seemingly tipsy demeanor when she joined co-star Emma D'Arcy and director Miguel Sapochnik on the Golden Globes stage to receive the award for best television series for "House of the Dragon," Page Six reported.

As the director delivered his speech, Alcock leaned on D'arcy, giggled and even pointed at someone in the audience. She also put her finger to her mouth.

Viewers took to Twitter to weigh in on Alcock's antics on stage, with many saying they believed the "Upright" alum was tipsy or drunk at the time.

"Milly Alcock wasted at the Golden Globes is top tier," one person wrote.

Another added, "Milly Alcock drunk off her arse at the Golden Globes being my spirit animal is sending me."

Viewers found Alcock's antics hilarious and expressed their support for her enjoying the night regardless of whether she was drunk, high or not. One fan hoped she had a blast because "she's worked hard enough." Many also praised the actress' look for the ceremony.

"She looks more 'high' than drunk. Maybe [she] had a glass of wine, which upped the ante. She looks like she's having a perfectly good time and people aren't bothered by it. To me, that's not 'trashed,'" one person wrote.

Alcock didn't directly say why she was behaving that way on the Golden Globes stage. However, she seemingly confirmed the speculations that she's drunk by reposting others' Instagram Stories on her account.

One of the Stories she shared was from makeup artist Misha, which showed Alcock covering her mouth while looking at the director.

"Ummmm," Misha wrote in the caption.

Alcock also shared a post featuring a video of her giggling and pointing at someone while on stage.

Alcock plays a young princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the hit HBO show, a prequel to "Game of Thrones" and an adaptation of George RR Martin's book "Fire and Blood."
