Milwaukee Triple Shooting: 1 Dead, 5-Year-Old Shot 3 Times
The Milwaukee police is investigating a triple shooting incident that killed one man and injured a 5-year-old child and another boy near 10th and Burleigh on Sunday evening. The boy reportedly suffered three gunshot wounds.
According to the officials, the incident was reported around 8:45 p.m. local time (9.45 p.m. EDT).
Acting Deputy Chief Erich Rhoden said while the man was pronounced dead on the scene, the two boys were critically wounded and rushed to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.
As of now, there is no word on their condition and the age of the second boy has also not been revealed. The cause for the gunfire is being investigated.
This was the third shooting incident in Milwaukee on Sunday and the tenth in a week's time. The first incident on Sunday took place around 2 a.m. local time (3 a.m. EDT) in the city’s northwest side. A man was found unconscious in a yard. The Fire Department officials tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead. Milwaukee police is investigating the incident. The shooter has not been identified yet.
The second shooting killed one person and took place at 5 p.m. local time (6 p.m. EDT) on Milwaukee's north side at the intersection of 20th and Burleigh.
