A police officer and a suspect were injured after exchanging gunfire in Waseca, Minnesota, at around 8 p.m. local time (9 p.m. EST), Monday.

In a similar incident last month, two police officers were shot after exchanging gunfire with two shooters who opened fired at them in a kosher market in Jersey City, New Jersey. The shooter duo had spontaneously started firing at people on the streets during which two officers were injured.
The first officer was shot in the street while the other was shot at the Bayview Cemetary. One of the officers, 40-year-old Joseph Seals, died. Local reports suggested the shooting was a planned event but not a terrorist attack.
Police have not released the names and information of the suspects in the case. The officers, who responded to the shooting at the kosher market, faced a “high-powered gun,” according to the police chief.
Two other officers were also injured in the shooting and were reportedly discharged from the hospital after completing recovery.
