After Miranda Lambert announced to fans that she secretly married Brendan McLoughlin on Saturday, details have emerged about the singer's new spouse. While the couple kept their relationship a secret, the mother of McLoughlin’s former fiancée, Carol Bruno, is now speaking out about the New York Police Department officer.

Prior to marrying country music star, McLoughlin was engaged to 24-year-old Jackie Bruno in the summer of 2018, In Touch reported. Shortly after their engagement, Jackie decided to head to Sweden to play professional soccer. While in Sweden, Jackie became injured and returned home to find out that McLoughlin had allegedly cheated on her with another woman.

Complicating matters, McLoughlin got the other woman pregnant and welcomed a daughter named Kaihla Rettinger just a few weeks prior to marrying Lambert, Radar Online reported.

“The girl contacted her. Jackie was in Sweden playing professional soccer, got injured and came home, and the girl contacted her. She broke the news to her,” Carol told Radar Online.

“[Brendan] tried to deny it and then begged her to stay with him. She was only going for a few months to play, he was begging her to marry him before she left, even though he knew the girl was pregnant.”

Carol thinks that Miranda should be on alert as she told In Touch that, “Yes, she definitely married a cheater, absolutely. A no good cheater.”
