She won over the judges and audiences with her poise, grace, beauty and her winning smile. Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, was crowned Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, becoming the fourth African woman to win the title since the beginning of the pageant. She also became the first Angolan Miss Universe.

But the beautiful Miss Angola has more to her than just good looks.

Leila Lopes wants to help her native Angola to escape the clutches of poverty and war, reports the Associated Press.

I've worked with various social causes. I work with poor kids, I work in the fight against HIV. I work to protect the elderly and I have to do everything that my country needs, she said. I think now as Miss Universe I will be able to do much more.

For those who wonder how Leila manages to look so stunning, the newly crowned Miss Universe follows a pretty simple beauty regimen. While denying about ever going under the knife, Leila said that her three tips for beauty were to get a lot of sleep, use sunblock even when it's not sunny and drink lots of water.

Speaking to the pageant judges in Portuguese, which happens to be the official language of Sao Paulo as well as Angola, Lopes said that she considered herself endowed with inner beauty and intended to follow the wonderful principles she had imbibed from her family for the rest of her life.

The 25-year-old happens to be a business management student in Great Britain and was named Miss Angola UK on Oct. 8, 2010. She won the Miss Angola title in Luanda on Dec.18, 2010, gaining the right to represent Angola in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant.
