Eighty-eight gorgeous ladies are preparing themselves for the grand event on Sept. 12, in which one of them will be declared as the most beautiful women in the Universe. Who will be the lucky one to be crowned?
According to an online poll, it is the Philippines' representative to the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, Shamcey Supsup, who is most likely to win the crown of Miss Universe 2011.
Supsup continues to lead the online fan voting site of the Telemundo, the second-largest Spanish language television network in the U.S., with 1,995,473 votes. She is followed by Venezuela's representative Vanessa Gonçalves with 1,924,111 votes. Mexico's representative Karin Meza stands at third with 1,410,153 votes.
The other candidates that have appeared in the unofficial top 10 rankings were Miss Dominican Republic, Dalia Fernández; Miss Ecuador, Claudia Elena Schiess Fretz; Miss Nicaragua, Adriana Dorn; Miss Puerto Rico, Viviana Ortiz Pastrana; Miss USA, Alyssa Campanella; Miss Thailand, Chanyasorn Sakornchan and Miss Colombia, María Vargas.
The overall winner from this online poll will secure a spot in the pageant's semi-finals round.
The 2011 Miss Universe pageant will be held at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where contestants from 89 countries are vying for the coveted title.
The contestants will be judged on the basis of three rounds - swimsuit, evening gown and the interview, following which Miss Universe 2011 and second and first runner-up will be chosen.
The winner will be crowned by Mexico's Ximena Navarrete, Miss Universe 2010.
