The authorities in California have intensified the search for a woman, who went missing nearly a week ago.

Alexis Gabe, who was reported missing Thursday, was last seen on Jan. 26 at her boyfriend's residence in Antioch, SFGate reported. Gabe's silver sedan was found Thursday in Oakley on Trenton Street, a few blocks off the city's Main Street with the keys still in the ignition. Her car door was also left open, according to the outlet.

Antioch police served a search warrant at her boyfriend's residence Tuesday, following which the unidentified man told the deputies she left the house at around 9 p.m. ET on the day of her disappearance and did not return home, according to KRON 4.

Video footage from the day of Gabe's disappearance showed an individual getting out of her car, but the person's identity was yet to be determined, SFGate reported.

"The more time that goes by obviously the more unsettled we are," Gabe's brother's girlfriend told NBC Bay Area. "The way we found her car is extremely unusual."

The police said Gabe's phone has also been switched off since that day.

Deputies retrieved some household items, including large bags and a vacuum cleaner, in hopes that those can provide answers on where to find Gabe.

The Oakley Police Department also sought the public's help in locating Gabe, according to East County Today. She was described as an Asian female, 5’7”, 170 pounds, and last known to be wearing a white tank top, silver/black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and green/white shoes.

"The Oakley Police Department has made locating Alexis Gabe their top priority since receiving the initial report on January 27, 2022, and we have been working on the case every day since it was reported to us," police said in a statement, according to East County Today.

Gabe's family members have set up a Facebook page in hopes to find her.

"We just want to make sure that if she is still out there, that her family and friends care about her and that we want her home safely," Aly Zuasola, Gabe's cousin, told Mercury News.
