This is Victoria Sims, who died after going missing. Sims, 75, of #Tallahassee, was a retired state worker & @AARP volunteer. "Her life is an example of the great principle laid out by AARP's founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus — 'to serve, not to be served,' " said @HorseguyTLH. pic.twitter.com/QAOFOzmhS2

So much of this makes no sense. Even with COVID, how can you have an aggravated assault charge and be released?!
Systems failed them both. https://t.co/bbe9ahHNW7
According to WCTV, Salau, also known as “Toyin”, participated actively in the BLM protests and reportedly recited the names of the people who had died because of police brutality, including Tony McDade of Tallahassee and George Floyd of Minneapolis.
She had appeared on many videos of the demonstrations in Florida’s capital, the station continued.
The hashtag #JusticeForToyin trended for a week on social media.
Meanwhile, Sims was well-known for her volunteerism and her work in local Democratic politics, CBS News reported.
WCTV reported that as a decade-long volunteer of the American Association of Retired Persons, Sims was a “lifelong advocate for older people”.
