Missing California Woman May Be Victim Of Foul Play After Police Discover Blood In Home
Police in Southern California said Sunday that Rachel Castillo, who went missing Thursday evening, may have been a victim of foul play after investigators found a "significant amount of blood" in her home.
Castillo, 25, is a mother of two and lives in Simi Valley, California, with her sister Emily Castillo.
According to local police, when investigating her home they discovered "a significant amount of blood." They concluded that "given the circumstances, it is believed Rachel is at risk."
Emily Castillo told ABC affiliate KABC that when she returned home Thursday night, she "saw the blood, that's when I realized something wasn't right." She said keys, a phone, and the car were in the house, but Rachel was not.
Emily added Rachel had dropped off her sons with their father earlier that morning, but had no reason to believe he would harm Rachel.
Simi Valley police released a description of Rachel. She is 5-foot-2, weighs 105 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.
