A missing stray cat was found with a metal wire tied so tightly around its body that it looked like “it almost split into half.”

In a Facebook post, the Malaysia Animal Association said the feline was well-loved by most people and received food every day from the hawkers. However, some people did not like it because they thought it was troublesome and dirty.

The cat disappeared from the area a few months back and when it reappeared last week, the residents saw a metal wire tied tightly around its body. The wire was so tight that the feline “looked like an hourglass” and “it almost split into half.”

The organization also uploaded a disturbing video showing the condition of the cat. The Association is now seeking public help to trace the perpetrator of the horrid crime. Anyone with related information was requested to contact the association via Whatsapp (+601120901097) or Facebook.

The organization said since the cat needs intensive care, its medical bills will be around $358. The feline will take a few months to heal completely. The organization also mentioned the bank details and requested people to contribute.

The Facebook post has since gone viral, with people praying for the feline’s speedy recovery and thanking the organization for looking after the animal.

“Thank God there are people who are looking after and taking care of the cat,” wrote a user.

“Can't think of seeing the video, praying that the cat heals soon,” wrote another user.
