A 16-year-old California girl who disappeared following an end-of-school campground party was feared abducted, officials said Monday.
The missing teen, Kiely Rodni, was last seen on Aug. 6 at approximately 12.30 a.m. near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee while she was at a party with more than 100 juveniles and young adults, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Kiely's silver 2013 Honda CRV with California license plate 8YUR127 has also been missing. Her phone has been out of service since the party, police said.
Despite assistance from multiple agencies in the search, the cops could not locate Kiely or her vehicle. The Sheriff's office is now treating the case as an abduction, news outlet ABC 10 reported.
Meanwhile, Kiely's mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, issued a desperate plea Sunday asking for help from the public to locate her missing daughter.
"We're so scared and we miss her so much, and we love her so much. And Kiely, we love you and if you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you. If anybody else out there, if you know where she is, if you know anything about where she might be ... please come forward and share them," Lindsey said in a video message shared by the Sheriff's office on Facebook.
Placer County Sheriff's Office has set up a tip line for anyone with any information about the missing teen. "Anyone with any information can call (530) 581-6320 Option 7. You can remain anonymous," the sheriff's office said.
Kiely is described as a Caucasian female, 5'7" tall with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing green Dickies pants and a black tank top. She has numerous piercings and jewelry, including a nose ring, officials said.
The teen girl graduated from Forest Charter School in June. "The entire Forest Charter School community is hoping for Kiely's safe return. Our thoughts are with her and her family," Peter Sagebiel, Forest Charter School director, told ABC 10.
