Authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, continue to search for a missing single mother, who was last seen on Aug. 13.

According to an investigator, Andrea Michelle Knabel, 37, was last seen walking in the Audubon Park neighborhood after leaving a residence around 1 a.m. Half an hour later, she made a call to a friend to try and get a ride. Since then, she hasn’t been seen and her calls go straight to voicemail.

Knabel is described as white with light brown hair, roughly 5-foot-7 and weighing around 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a light-colored tank top with white shorts.

The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) and investigators have been searching the greater Louisville area for Knabel for the past two weeks with no luck, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Investigator Dan Washington has said he and others have received several tips that they continue to follow. Also, a Facebook group, “Finding Andrea,” has been set up to track the case and updates often. Volunteers connected via the page met last weekend to mount a search.

“We’ve done numerous database searches and everything from different leads to different tips, different associates,” Washington said. “Everything and anything, pretty much.”

Knabel is the mother of two children. In a bit of tragic irony, she works for Missing in America, a national organization that helps find missing people, both adults and children. She is said to have friends in the Louisville and southern Indiana areas.

Police urge anyone with information related to Knabel’s case to reach out to the LMPD hotline at 502-574-5673.
