Missing Mercedes Lain Update: Silver Alert Issued For 11-Month-Old Indiana Baby

Police in Indiana have issued a statewide Silver Alert in connection with the disappearance of an 11-month-old girl.
Mercedes Lain was last seen with a 37-year-old man, identified as Justin Lee Miller, on Thursday night. The infant is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance, according to Plymouth Police Department.
Lain is a "Caucasian female, two feet tall, 19 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes." Miller was described as a Caucasian male, 5'8'' tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen driving a blue 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an Indiana plate of BOT126, CBS News reported.
Lain went missing from Plymouth, which is 123 miles north of Indianapolis. It was not known if the baby and Miller were related to each other.
It was also not clear who was taking care of the child when she went missing.
Police urged the public to come forward with any information about the baby's location. They can contact Plymouth Police Department by calling 574-936-2126, or by calling 911.
A Silver Alert is issued if the person is a missing endangered adult, missing endangered child, high risk missing person or have a mental impairment validated through a credible medical authority, according to the Indiana government's website.
