The FBI and Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday afternoon confirmed they found the body of a 5-year-old girl who had been missing since Sunday, according to reports.

Authorities in New Mexico had been conducting a massive search for Renezmae Calzada. There have been few details released Wednesday, as the investigation is ongoing.

Los Arriba County authorities had said that they have one suspect in custody that they believe could be related to Calzada's disappearance, without giving any further information. The Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s office told Albuquerque ABC affiliate KOAT on Wednesday that a person taken into custody Monday was not connected to Calzada's disappearance or death.

Calzada was last seen at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the City of Espanola in northern New Mexico. She was wearing a Disney "Frozen" shirt along with blue shorts with stars on them in the front yard of her home with her mother.

Ten hours later, a woman — most likely her mother — called the police to report the girl had gone missing. An Amber Alert was later issued.

Amber alerts are an emergency response system that are used to spread information through the media about missing people, usually referring to a missing child.
