Missing Pet Cat Found Dead Inside Plastic Bag In Water Tank
A couple was left heartbroken after their pet cat was found tortured to death in Skelmanthorpe, England, on Wednesday.
Speaking to Examiner Live on Thursday, Bryony Walker said she and her husband Jake, saw their 18-month-old cat for the last time on Sept.6. She said the feline had gone out of the home through the cat flap but never returned. Following a desperate search, the cat was found dead in a plastic bag inside a water tank Wednesday. Bricks were tied around the cat’s neck.
"She was tiny when we got her. Her mum had been ill so even when she was fully grown she was still small. She was a bit of a weird cat. She was so attached to Jake and I that she would even come with us when we took our dog to the woods. Over the back of our house there is an industrial estate which has cooling tanks. As part of our search we went round and asked if they had seen her. Yesterday (Wednesday) they called Jake and said they have found a dead cat. A member of staff explained something had blocked the pipe and they had pulled out a black bin bag with scratches on it,” Bryony recalled.
Unable to believe that someone could do such a cruel thing to an animal, she added, “We'd had Beans chipped so the vet said he was sure it was her. Our street has many cat owners on it so we just want to ensure no-one else has to endure what we have had to go through."
The couple filed a police complaint and believe that whoever did this was familiar with the area and was a local.
Meanwhile, Bryony took to Facebook to share the incident.
"Words can't begin to describe how we feel. This happened on Saville Road, Skelmanthorpe. If you have a cat, you might want to consider keeping them in overnight. To the absolute, lowest scumbag who did this, I don't know how to begin to describe what I think of you, but we will do everything we can to find out who you are and make you pay. I'll miss you, my girl,” she wrote.
