Missing Teenage Girl In Indiana: Silver Alert Issued, Police Say 17-Year-Old Is In Extreme Danger
A Silver Alert has been issued by the Fort Wayne Police Department in Indiana for a 17-year-old girl missing since Saturday afternoon, according to local reports.
Vivian Alexis Ziko was last seen leaving her home in Fort Wayne around 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. She is described as Caucasian with brown hair, brown eyes, 5-foot-1 in height, and weighing around 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a yellow and gray striped shirt with dark blue jeans, according to WTHR 13.
Authorities believe Ziko to be in extreme danger and potentially in need of medical assistance.
There have been few details released so it is not known why Ziko is believed to be in such danger, but the fact that a Silver Alert has been issued may shed some light on the matter. Typically, Silver Alerts are issued for older missing adults or senior citizens suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. However, they are sometimes issued for adults or teens with cognitive disorders.
Fort Wayne is located 126 miles northeast of the Indiana state capital, Indianapolis.
