The San Francisco Giants are not yet done filling up their bullpen, and the latest addition could be free-agent outfielder Cameron Maybin. Despite the addition of Gerardo Parra, the Giants had mentioned back in December that they were looking to add at least two outfielders.

Interest in Maybin is separate from the Giants' pursuit of Bryce Harper, perhaps one of the remaining big names in the MLB free agent market. Assuming they do succeed in signing up the 31-year-old outfielder, this is not expected to alter their plans for Harper, NBC Sports reported.

One can only imagine the kind of team that the Giant will end up for the coming MLB season. This will likely depend on how things go down during spring training. With most focused on the available talent in the free agent market, there are several players like Madison Bumgarner hoping to stay in San Francisco.

Bumgarner is another name that has been circulating on MLB trade rumors. This came about after the new president of basketball operations Farhan Zaidi did not rule out the possibility of trading the franchise ace, MLB.com reported.

Regardless of that though, “MadBum” arrived at the Scottsdale Stadium for Spring Training, entering his final season before heading off to free agency. Along with Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval, the three are the only remaining members on the roster with three World Series rings.

"A lot of good times and a few bad times also, but obviously I would love to stay here. If that happens or not, I don't know. Some parts are in my control, some parts aren't. Right now, I'm just focused on getting this year started and getting back to the postseason. That's it," said Bumgarner.

Despite the drive of the Giants to bring in more talent, Bumgarner believes they have more than enough talent to be competitive for the 2019 MLB season. This is assuming that no trades are made moving forward.

The fact that he is headed into free agency places the 29-year-old left-hander in a spot. He could remain in San Francisco after his contract runs out although this depends on how negotiations progress. But if Posey is to be heard, it makes no sense to see Bumgarner elsewhere.

"We hope that we're in a position come the Trade Deadline where it makes absolutely no sense for him to be anywhere else," Posey said.
