MMA legend Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell shared exclusive images from his upcoming movie with fellow MMA legend, Randy "The Natural" Couture.

Two of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, Liddell and Couture will star in a movie about war entitled "D-Day." Ahead of the official release date of the said film, Liddell provided fans an exclusive preview as he shared some images from the movie on his official Facebook account.

"D-Day" intends to commemorate the memory of those who lost their lives fighting the Nazis on the beaches of Normandy, France.

The movie stars Liddell and Couture, who is a former U.S. Army Sergeant himself. Weston Cage Coppola, son of famous actor Nicolas Cage, and Jesse Kove join the cast in the action-heavy take on the Battle of Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, The Wrap noted.

“These beaches are vital to winning this war. Thousands of lives depend on it,” Liddell's character says in the trailer.

Both Liddell and Couture are now officially retired from MMA. Although Liddell made an attempt to revive his career back in 2018, his other UFC nemesis Tito Ortiz did not make it come to fruition. Ortiz was able to dominate Liddell to win the fight via TKO.

Couture went on to pursue an acting career. The former UFC two-division champ made his first big screen debut when he became part of the successful movie franchise "The Expendables," produced and starred by Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallon.

Liddell and Couture have had iconic fights in the UFC during their prime and their rivalry is one of the most legendary rivalries the promotion has ever had. The two MMA legends shared the octagon thrice and all three fights were blockbuster events.

The first meeting happened in 2003 where Couture amazed the MMA world by finishing Liddell via TKO due to punches. Two years later, the two met again for a second showdown and this time, Liddell knocked out Couture to even the score at one win a piece. In 2006, both UFC light heavyweight superstars fought for the third time to settle the score. Liddell once again knocked Couture out and the fight went down as one of the most iconic fights in the history of UFC.

Cinedigm will release "D-Day" in select theaters, on demand and digitally on September 13. DVD release is scheduled in October.
