- The promotion has yet to release the full lineup for BRAVE CF 55 in Russia
Bahrain-based BRAVE Combat Federation will hold another huge event on November 6 when it returns to Russia.
A wild card of matches is expected to take place, and one of the explosive showdowns to watch out for at BRAVE CF 55 is the encounter between Ali Bagautinov and Jose “Shorty” Torres.
Bagautinov and Torres will meet in the last semifinal bout of the BRAVE CF Flyweight World Title Tournament with big stakes on the line.
The winner of this duel will go on to advance and face Velimurad Alkhasov for the inaugural BRAVE CF flyweight championship.
“The King Puncher” will turn to his wealth of experience to fend off Torres. He has competed against other seasoned fighters, amassing a 21-7 record overall.
At BRAVE CF 46 this past January, Bagautinov dominated Oleg Lichkovakha to hack out a unanimous decision win. This allowed him to secure a spot in the BRAVE CF Flyweight World Title tourney.
After that, the Russian won over Dustin Ortiz also via unanimous decision at BRAVE CF 50 in April.
With two impressive wins under his belt, he hopes to sustain the streak when he faces an unpredictable and promising foe in Torres.
Torres is known for his high-octane and fast-paced style, not to mention his highlight reel of stoppages in nearly all of his past duels.
"Shorty" last fought Blaine O’Driscoll and won via unanimous decision in a three-round bantamweight clash at BRAVE CF 49: Super Fights last March.
Torres now finds himself one fight away from becoming a world champion in the promotion. But first, he must hurdle “The King Puncher” before looking ahead.
Aside from the Bagautinov vs. Torres clash, BRAVE CF is expected to announce more fights in the coming weeks.
