KEY POINTS

  • Fernandes-Lineker and Grishenko-Malykhin headline the 13-fight event on February 11
  • Saruta-Balart, Olsim-Radzuan and Dejdamrong-Williams are the fights to keep an eye on
  • Multiple promotion debutants are set to appear on the lead card

Singapore-based ONE Championship is looking forward to giving its fans what they want with another exciting fight card for ONE: Bad Blood on February 11.

In the main event, the long-awaited bantamweight title clash between division kingpin Bibiano Fernandes and compatriot John Lineker will finally happen after months of frustration and trash-talking between the two camps.

Krill Grishenko and Anatoly Malykhin’s bout for the interim heavyweight title will serve as the co-main event after their first fight was rescheduled due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The promotion opted to have an interim heavyweight title after company head honcho Chatri Sityodtong revealed that the reigning champion Arjan Bhullar declined multiple offers to defend his belt.

Grishenko and Malykhin are both notable knockout artists, with their matchup at ONE: Bad Blood finally settling which one of them will receive their first loss.

As championship opportunities are few and far between, even if it is an interim title, fans can expect both men to swing at each other as early and often as possible to secure a future meetup with Bhullar.

Leading up to the headliners, former ONE flyweight Muay Thai titleholder Jonathan Haggerty will be making his return to action against Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy.

Meanwhile, ex-ONE flyweight titlist Yosuke Saruta is looking to get back on the road to recapturing gold when he faces Gustavo Balart.

Fans have not heard from Saruta since his trilogy bout against Joshua Pacio in September of last year where he lost by knockout, while Balart finally got his first win in the organization with a unanimous decision victory against Ryuto Sawada in July 2021.

Also fighting for the first time since falling to Ritu Phogat in the semifinals of the ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix is Team Lakay’s Jenelyn Olsim going up against Malaysia’s Jihin Radzuan.

The pair were supposed to fight each other last November for the right to become an alternate in the tournament, but an untimely injury to Itsuki Hirata allowed Olsim to move up.

Olsim has her work cut out for her when she meets Radzuan as both are crafty grapplers that can pull off nasty submissions in unexpected moments.

To open the main card, promotion veteran Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke will welcome knockout artist Danial Williams to ONE Championship.

In the lead card for ONE: Bad Blood, bantamweights Chen Rui and Mark Abelardo look to jostle for position within the stacked division as they aim for a victory over the other.

Outstanding wrestler Murad Ramazanov has his eyes on keeping his fight record spotless as he meets Japanese finisher Ken Hasegawa.

Canadian heavyweight Dustin Joynson will be looking to bounce back from his crushing loss to Grishenko in October when he faces promotional newcomer Hugo Cunha.

Also on the lead card are strawweights Lin Heqin and Bi Nguyen who are both hoping for a return to the win column after losing to Phogat and Olsim respectively in their past two fights.

Another promotional debutant will also be fighting at ONE: Bad Blood as Sung Hoon Woo guns for a solid start to his ONE career when he meets respected flyweight Yodkaikaew “Y2K” Fairtex.

Thomas Narmo and Odie Delaney are set to show off their capabilities to ONE fans as they also make their promotion debuts at the event.

Bantamweights Sunoto and Tial Thang face each other in the opening fight of the lead card as they set the tone for an event that is expected to be filled with finishes.
