“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 18 will prove that a lot of things can happen within just five minutes.

In “Five Minutes,” Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) would have to fight the effects of the sleeping pills they took to make sure that they wouldn’t miss their flight. But upon checking their watch, they only have five minutes to get on the plane.

Elsewhere, Haley (Sarah Hyland) will organize a birthday dinner for her boyfriend, Rainer (Nathan Fillion). Five minutes before his birthday cake arrives, Haley and Rainer will be forced to reevaluate their relationship. By the looks of it, the two will finally decide to go their separate ways.

Meanwhile, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) will be shocked to know that Alex (Ariel Winter) already has a boyfriend. The latter will give a five-minute speech as her way of introducing the guy to her parents.

Finally, Manny (Rico Rodriguez) is so excited to catch a movie, but his parents, Jay (Ed O’Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara), are making it impossible for him to reach the theater on time. Manny only has five minutes to park his car while enduring Jay and Gloria’s fight. But just like all of the previous episodes of “Modern Family,” it is certain that everything will end positively for the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan.

In other news, there are still a few more episodes left before “Modern Family” Season 8 wraps up. But ABC still has not reached a decision regarding whether or not the sitcom will be renewed for Season 9. According to Deadline, talks are still underway for a possible renewal.

“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 18 will air on ABC on March 29 at 9 p.m. EST.
