K-pop boy band Monsta X has announced their first movie, “Monsta X: The Dreaming,” is all set to hit theaters in 70 countries in December.

The movie follows the six-member boy band’s journey, from the time they were formed during the reality show “No Mercy” in 2015 up to the release of their biggest hits. The group’s management label, Starship Entertainment, said the movie will also show never-before-seen footage of their promotional activities in the U.S., and special concert performances as well as new interviews with each member.

The movie is expected to hit a chord with loyal Monsta X fans collectively known as “Monbebe” as it provides “a more intimate look at Monsta X’s rigorous journey over the past six years,” Rolling Stone said in its exclusive report.

Apart from group members Minhyuk, Shownu, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M sharing their "personal stories" about their time in the U.S., the movie will also feature "high energy" performances of the band's hits, Rolling Stones added.

The movie will be screened in CGV theaters (multisensory/4DX) cinemas in South Korea on Dec. 8 and worldwide on Dec. 9. Oh Yoon-Dong, who helmed the hugely successful, "Blackpink: The Movie," starring popular girl group Blackpink, also directed Monsta X's first concert film.

Monsta X is also set to release their second English-language album, “The Dreaming,” on Dec. 10. This is a followup to their first English-language album, “All About Luv,” which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 on Feb. 2020.

Ahead of the release of their concert film and second English-language album, Monsta X will be releasing their comeback mini album “No Limit” on Nov. 19.

Monsta X is also part of the lineup of this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour this December.

The group will be performing at four stops on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour beginning in Philadelphia on Dec. 13, Washington, D.C. on Dec. 14, Atlanta on Dec. 16 and finally in Miami on Dec. 19.

This is the third time Monsta X is performing at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, following their performances in 2018 and 2019. Meanwhile, 29-year-old Shownu will not be performing with the group this year following his military enlistment in July.
