Montana Murder-Suicide: Man Kills Woman Before Fatally Shooting Self
In an apparent murder-suicide incident, a 35-year-old man fatally shot a 34-year-old woman before killing self in Billings, Montana. Local police found the bodies of the two people at a home at 2115 Canyon Drive.
According to Billings Police Sgt. Harley Cagle, officers were called at the home Sunday night. When police arrived they said the deaths of the two people were "suspicious." Paramedics with American Medical Response arrived at the home for a short period of time but left the scene.
It was later determined that the man died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The motive of the shooting remains unclear. The relationship and identity of the two people are yet to be revealed.
Police are currently investigating the incident and authorities said that there was no threat to the public.
In another recent murder-suicide incident, a man fatally shot his wife before killing himself in Katy, Texas. Fort Bend deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the home in the 5900 block of Rose Bud Trail near the Meadowbrook Farms Gulf Club. On arrival, deputies found a man and woman dead inside the home. A teenager was in the house at the time of the shooting. The teenager was unharmed and is not in the care of relatives.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what led up to the shooting. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
