Moors Murderer: Scary Image Of Myra Hindley Appears On Fridge [PHOTO]
The face of Myra Hindley, Britain's most feared person, appeared on the side of a family's fridge.
Debby Evans was terrified when she saw the strange resemblance to the Moors murderer in a photo she took of the optical illusion after a trick of the light caused the scary image of the Hindley to appear.
Hindley and her lover, Ian Brady, had tortured and killed five young children between 1963 and 1965. The crime committed by Hindley and Brady shocked the whole nation and since then it became a standard level by which other acts of evil came to be measured.
The tabloid press dubbed Hindley as the most hated woman in Britain. Hindley was born in Crumpsall, a Manchester suburb, on July 1942. She died in 2002, at the age of 60 from bronchial pneumonia caused by heart disease. She and her lover Brady were jailed at Chester Assizes May 6, 1966 , after a 15-day trial. The murders were known as the Moors murders because the victims' bodies were buried on Saddleworth Moor, near Manchester.
Hindley was sentenced to two life sentences. However, she later appealed in the court claiming that she was a reformed woman and no longer a danger to society, but she was never released.
Evans, the mother of three who saw the image on the fridge, said: It's not what you want to see when eating dinner.
The 44-year-old told Daily Mail, 'it was very strange - very spooky. I looked through to the kitchen and had to look again. I didn't really believe what I saw. As you move your head you couldn't see the picture, but then as you moved it back it reappeared.
It wasn't really until we took the photograph that everyone went oh my God. As soon as we looked at the photograph we thought it looked like Myra. And then we got spooked massively all night, she added.
Evans works as a PTM Holiday consultant at Club La Costa on the Costa del Sol in Spain. She uploaded the chilling and scary photo on Facebook after which her friends and other people commented on the striking resemblance to the Moors murderer.
I just put a face has appeared on my fridge and then the comments were constantly oh look how spooky that it. I didn't write anything other than here's a picture of a face I saw on my fridge, but most people instantly posted comments saying they thought it was Myra, she told the Daily Mail.
I don't know whether it appeared just because of the way the light was shining through door, or if it's the light at a certain time. But I'm thinking about getting the fridge moved if she keeps appearing, she added.
