Dallas -- A woman in Texas was fatally shot after she allegedly drove her vehicle into the security guard at a strip club, police said.

The mother-of-three, identified as Shalanda Anderson, 32, was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

The Dallas Police Department said the incident unfolded outside XTC Cabaret Dallas, on Saturday at around 5 a.m.

Anderson drove her car into a group of security guards and pinned a 26-year-old female guard between the car and another vehicle. The security guard then pulled out her gun and shot Anderson inside the vehicle. Another security guard also fired into Anderson’s vehicle, according to the New York Post.

XTC, which is reportedly the largest strip club in the city, released a statement and said the security guard shot Anderson “before the driver could seriously injure or kill others.”

"We would like to express our deepest condolences to the families involved. Club management has reached out to the family of the individual who died and offered to pay for her funeral," the club said.

Meanwhile, the female guard has “multiple broken bones” and will need surgery, XTC said.

While the police and the club maintain the same account of events, Anderson’s family and friends disagree and said Anderson left the club right after she was asked to leave following an altercation.

On a GoFundMe page created to raise funds for the bereaved family, a message said the altercation was about the right amount of change to be paid. The message also said Anderson was asked to leave the club.

“At this time we are crying out for her 3 children that has been left behind due to senseless gun violence after she was doing what she was asked to due [sic] and that’s leave the club [sic],” the page said.

Anderson's family and friends were reportedly seen outside XTC on Sunday demanding its shut down. The woman's mother, Benita Lofton, told WFAA, "[Shalonda] had a good heart, everyone came to her house every day."

“She just wanted the best for her kids, that's all she talked about," Lofton went on to say. “For my grandbaby to come up to me and ask me, 'Granny is my mom in the sky?' That took a lot out of me.”
