Is Motorola Atrix 4G first smartphone to feature 1GB RAM and longest battery life?
Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone which was released during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011 features the longest battery life and only smartphone to date which has support for a fully functional Mozilla Firefox 3.6 browser. The Mozilla browser previously was only accessible via desktops, laptops and tablet PCs.
One most wanted and impressive feature of a smartphone is the long lasting battery life which needs to match up to its touch screen display.
The smartphone which is going to be released by AT&T has only one competitor when it comes to battery life and that is the latest smartphone from Motorola which is going to Verizon, the Motorola Droid Bionic 4G.
Both these smartphones have 1930 mAh battery. The Atrix smartphone was tested with 540 minutes of talk time on 3G (9 hours) and a standby time of up to 250 hours (10.4 days) on 3G.
The only smartphone that may get closer to Motorola Atrix 4G is Motorola Droid X belonging to Verizon and Motorola Defy with T-Mobile which gives close to 480 minutes of talk time on 3G. The next smartphone would be Samsung i8910 Omnia HD which gives 450 hours talk time on 3G. Also Apple iPhone 4G which dominated the market in 2010 gives up to 420 minutes on 3G. Although Samsung Infuse 4G features a 1750 mAh battery, the talk time has not yet been tested.
Apart from battery, Atrix can be considered to be the first smartphone to feature a 1 GB RAM. Other smartphones closer to Atrix are HTC ThunerBolt 4G and HTC Inspire 4G as they feature a 768 MB RAM. Other smartphones in the market generally feature a 512 MB RAM. With exceptional 1 GHz dual core processor along with 1 GB RAM, Motorola Atrix 4G doubles up as one which stands out against other smartphones in the market.
