Motorola is adding two new smartphones to its 2019 budget phone portfolio and the latest additions are the Moto G8 Plus and Moto E6 Play. In addition to that, the company also expanded the availability of the new Moto One Macro smartphone.

The new Moto G8 Plus

According to reports, the latest member of the Motorola G-series is the Moto G8 Plus. The new handset offers a 6.3-inch FHD+IPS display and a small waterdrop notch for the 25-megapixel selfie shooter. Around the back of the device is another high-resolution camera, the 48-megapixel main camera system. In addition to the 48-megapixel camera set up, the new device also comes with 16-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and a 5-megapixel depth sensor, which stacked below the 16-megapixel snapper.

The new Moto G8 Plus comes with a variety of camera features, which include cinematography, Night Vision mode, portrait lighting, auto smile capture, Spot Color/Color Pop, and cutout functionality. Like the other Motorola devices, the G8 Plus will also allow the user to record landscape videos while holding the device in a portrait position.

Going internal, the latest Motorola smartphone packs a mid-weight Snapdragon 665 mobile chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The device comes in at 4000mAh and supports 18W fast charging technology. It runs on Google’s Android 9 Pie mobile operating system. The new Moto G8 Plus also comes with a water-repellent design, a rear fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, a 3.5 mm port and supports a Bluetooth 5 connectivity.

This latest Motorola budget phone will be made available in the U.K. market on October 28. Prices start at £239 or around $307. The new device will be made available via Argos, John Lewis, Carphone Warehouse, EE and the Amazon online store. In addition to the U.K. market, the device will also be made available to Indian users via Flipkart at the end of this month. Prices for Indian users will start at Rs 13,999 or around $197.

The new Moto E6 Play

Along with the new Moto G8 Plus, Motorola also announced another budget-focused smartphone. The new Moto E6 Play has been described by the company as one of the most affordable phones in Motorola’s lineup, with starting price at just £99 or $127. The new Moto E6 Play features a 5.5-inch HD+display, a single 13-megapixel F/2.2 camera system with an LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The new budget phone also comes with the fingerprint reader, headphone jack, FM radio, classic Moto dimple and runs on Android 9 Pie out the box.

The new device is powered by MediaTek MT6739. It comes with 2GB of RAM along with 32GB of storage, which is expandable via the microSD slot. This second budget phone also serves up to 3000 mAh battery and charges over MicroUSB port.

The Moto E6 Play comes in Ocean Blue and Black colors and will be launched to the European market next month. In addition to the two budget-focused smartphones, Motorola also announced an expansion of the general availability of the Moto One Macro to the global market. This new handset is scheduled for release on October 28. Price starts at £199 or around $255.
