HAMMERSON PLC

The company said it appointed Terry Duddy as a non-executive director of the company with effect from Dec. 3, replacing John Clare, who served as a non-executive director for over 10 years.

Terry is chief executive of Home Retail Group, a position he has held since 2006.

AVIVA PLC

The British life insurer said it would bring its domestic businesses under a single chief executive, naming Mark Hodges, its current head of UK life insurance, to lead the core unit.

Hodges, who joined Aviva in 1991, has been a member of the board since 2008. [ID:nL6703455]

JEFFERIES

The securities and investment banking group said it appointed Peter Hale as a senior vice president and head of Asian convertible bond trading. He joins from JPMorgan, where he worked for six years and was most recently a managing director and head of Asia Pacific convertible bonds.

UBS INVESTMENT BANK

UBS said it had hired 18 investment bankers in the United States to focus on lending in the energy sector.

LOWENHAUPT GLOBAL ADVISORS (LGA)

The company said it appointed Daniel DeSimone as principal and senior investment advisor. Prior to joining LGA, DeSimone worked for Presage Capital Management LLC as president and chief investment officer.

HARVEST PARTNERS

The New York-based private equity investment firm said it formed a formal partnership with Steve Riordan to target one or more investments in North American distribution companies. He was formerly the CEO of Communications Supply Corp.

ROYAL BANK OF CANADA

The international arm of RBC Wealth Management, headquartered in London and part of the Royal Bank of Canada, said it appointed Matthew Yong and Frank Mu as president and CEO, respectively, of its Asia operations.
