After an entire year of virtual and hybrid award shows, the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) is returning to the Barclays Center in New York City with a star-studded line-up of performers and superstar presenters to celebrate this year in music.

Here are the performers, presenters, nominees and the show's hosts:

Performers:

Kourtney Kardashians’ Boyfriend Travis Barker is scheduled to join Machine Gun Kelly for a debut performance of their new single “Papercuts”.

One of the biggest headliners of the night is Justin Bieber who is all set to make a comeback on the VMA stage after a hiatus of six years.

Shawn Mendes will also be performing with his latest hit single, “Summer Of Love.”

Making their VMA debut are six-time Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves with a world premiere performance of her new track, “Star-Crossed” and Chloe Bailey from Chloe x Halle who will be making her highly anticipated solo debut.

Twenty One Pilots will perform their hit single, "Saturday."

Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker and Olivia Rodrigo are also set to perform.

Host Of The Night

Doja Cat will be making her hosting debut at this year’s show. Apart from hosting, she is also set to perform on stage. Cat is nominated for five awards, which include two of the night’s highest honors, Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Presenters

Travis Barker, AJ McLean, Ashanti, Avril Lavigne, Billie Eilish, Billy Porter, Conor McGregor, 50 Cent, Cyndi Lauper, Fat Joe, Hailey Bieber, Halle Bailey, Ja Rule, Lance Bass, Megan Fox, Nick Lachey, Rita Ora and Simone Biles are presenting this year.

Pre-Show Performers

This year’s pre-show event will be hosted by Nessa Diab and Jamila Mustafa. Kim Petras will deliver the television debut performance of “Future Starts Now.” Swedish House Mafia will deliver a medley of “Lifetime” and “It Gets Better.”

Additionally, Polo G -- who is nominated for two awards this year including Best New Artist -- will perform his hit single "Rapstar."

The MTV VMA 2021 will air live from the Barclays Center on Sept. 12.
