MTV Changes ‘Teen Mom OG’ Air Date Ahead Of 2016 VMAs, Will Air Episode 3 Early

“Teen Mom OG” only just returned to MTV but the network is already changing the schedule for Season 6. On Sunday, fans will get to watch episode 3 one day early ahead of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

Ahead of the debut of “Don’t Panic,” MTV has released four sneak peeks to tease what to come for moms Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Baltierra and Amber Portwood.

After moving to Los Angeles in the premiere, Farrah will return to her native Iowa for a doctor’s appointment. A clip for the Aug. 28 episode shows her preparing for a colonoscopy and getting some unwanted help from her mother Debra. Elsewhere, Amber also travels, going to the East Coast to meet with her troubled fiancé Matt Baier’s family.

After just learning she’s expecting her third baby, Maci will remain in Tennessee to her tell her extended family about the pregnancy. According to the synopsis, Maci and her fiancé Taylor McKinney will be surprised to learn she’s farther along than they expected. A sneak peek shows her telling her ex Ryan Edwards (whom she shares son Bentley with) that she’s due in May, one day after her daughter Jayde’s first birthday.

The episode won’t be without some mama drama, though. A teaser for Catelynn and her husband Tyler Baltierra’s storyline reveals they will run into some trouble with their first-born daughter Carly’s adoptive parents. Tyler gets upset when discussing the possibility that Brandon and Teresa might not want them to talk about the adoption on camera anymore. Catelynn worries breaking their trust might ruin their relationship with Carly.

While “Teen Mom OG” typically airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT, Sunday’s installment will premiere much earlier at 7 p.m. EDT. The 2016 MTV VMAs pre-show will follow at 8 p.m. with the award show kicking off at 9 p.m.

If you happen to miss the installment, don’t fret! “Don’t Panic” will re-air twice on Monday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. EDT and 9 p.m. EDT.

“Teen Mom OG” episode 4, titled “Animal Instincts,” will debut the following week on Monday, Sept. 5, at 9 p.m. EDT. Viewers will get to watch as Maci and Taylor will begin planning their wedding and Farrah gets into a fight with her boyfriend Simon.
